Wildlife Awareness Days 2008

In 2007, the Rural Policing Liaison Group held its first Wildlife
Awarenes Days. One was held in the north of Staffordshire at Park Hall
Country Park at Stoke-on-Trent and the other
was at the Cannock Chase Visitors Centre at Marquis Drive in the south
of the county.
The events included:
- Displays of the groups work
- Talks and slideshows of wildlife and rural policing issues
- Staffordshire Bat Group, with orphaned young
- West Midlands Hedgehog Rescue, with rescued hogs
- Badger Infomation talks
- Dragonfly Society
- Pond dipping
- Childrens Activity Packs
- Merchandise Stall
The events were very sucessful. More days have been arranged for 2008 in co-operation with the Staffordshire Rangers.
