Rural Policing Liaison
Group - Awareness 2008Wildlife Awareness Days 2008
> In 2009, the Rural Policing Liaison Group held its first Wildlife Awarenes Days. One was held in the north of Staffordshire at Park Hall Country Park at Stoke-on-Trent and the other was at the Cannock Chase Visitors Centre at Marquis Drive in the south of the county.
The events included:
- Displays of the groups work
- Talks and slideshows of wildlife and rural policing issues
- Staffordshire Bat Group, with orphaned young
- Badger Infomation talks
- Dragonfly Society
- Pond dipping
- Information display
The events were very sucessful. More days have been arranged from 2010 in co-operation with the Staffordshire County Council Rangers at Marquis drive.
